Friday, a level 2 SLIGHT risk is in place for far SE Nebraska. This will be due to the storms Friday evening along the frontal boundary. These storms could produce golf ball size hail, winds up to 65+ mph and a few brief rotations. TIMING: 1:00PM-10:00PM.
Large hail up to golf balls will be possible with the first storms that develop near 2-5pm. These single cells along the front will carry the large hail, damaging wind & isolated tornado threat.
An isolated tornado threat will occur across SE Nebraska starting near 2-4pm & diminishing by 7pm. A brief rotation will be possible due to the wind direction turning counter clockwise.
Thursday into Friday, temperatures really warm up bringing increasing moisture. Thursday evening through Friday, rain and storms will be LIKELY with a few severe storms carrying large hail, damaging winds & an isolated tornado threat. The weekend finally looks enjoyable!!
