University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police are looking for a man accused of taking photos of students as they showered.

Police say at least three people were photographed at Abel Hall Wednesday morning.

The incident has left students feeling uncomfortable and violated.

“It’s definitely weird I don’t know why somebody would do that,” said Camden Roncka, a UNL freshman who lives in Abel Hall.

UNL Police told Channel 8 Eyewitness News three men reported someone had stuck a cell phone under the shower curtain and took photos of them while they were showering. All three incidents happened on different floors of the residence hall.

“I hope something definitely gets done about it– this shouldn’t be happening,” said Molly Mores, a UNL freshman

UNLPD said they have identified a suspect but are waiting for more information from witnesses before taking action.

In a statement, UNL says all of their residence halls are closed to passersby; people can only come in if they live there or are a guest of a resident.

“I wish UNL would do more for their security so things like this wouldn’t happen in the first place,” said Roncka.

UNL says they also have cameras at every entrance, elevator, and common area. Shower doors are secured from the inside and all doors automatically lock. Residence hall staff living in the building are on call at all times.

They say if anyone notices anything suspicious to call them or UNL police.
