LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department closed off the area near O and North 2nd Streets early Wednesday morning for a suspicious death investigation.

Authorities tell Channel 8 they found a man’s body, and they’re not sure how he got there.

This all began just before 2 a.m. and police expect to have a closure in place until noon at the very least.

O Street itself is not impacted by the shut down.

Police have yet to identify the man and say it’s unclear if he’s a transient.

Our crew on scene saw a woman being taken away in a police cruiser around 3:45 a.m.

Officers on scene have not said what her role in this may be.

Anyone with information is asked to contact LPD right away.
