Suspicious package found nearby a Lincoln hotel

Lincoln Police respond to a suspicious package.
It was at Howard Johnson’s Hotel near the airport this evening. A box of clay with wires and a battery hooked to it were found nearby a bush. The hotel was evacuated as a safety precaution.
Firefighters determined it was not real.
Officials say hotel workers did the right thing by calling 9-1-1 and reporting the suspicious package.
