Former Tabitha employee arrested, accused of pawning 24 laptops

Lincoln Police arrested a man after learning he may have been stealing and pawning laptops from his former employer.

Officers arrested Dominic Walker, 36, Wednesday morning for felony theft.

In May, a Tabitha employee reported getting a phone call from a Lincoln pawnshop asking about three laptops being pawned by Walker. Further investigating revealed Walker, who was a Network Infrastructure and Security Administrator at Tabitha, had pawned 24 laptops owned by Tabitha at various pawnshops in Lincoln and Omaha, police said.

Police said Walker pawned the computers between May of 2018 and May of 2019. Police said he was hired in February of 2018.

The laptops were valued at $31,541, police said.

A Tabitha spokeswoman said Walker is no longer employed.
