TAKE A LOOK: New mail vehicles to roll out soon
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Your local postal carrier will soon be getting a new set of wheels.
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) introduced its “Next Generation Delivery Vehicle” or NGDV.
The NGDV will have a low engine compartment, a high windshield, backup cameras, and blind-spot detectors. They will also have features not included in current mail trucks, like airbags and air-conditioning.
These new vehicles will replace the current vehicles, the Grumman LLVs, and will start roaming your neighborhood in 2023.
