Talbot Kitchen serves Thanksgiving meals

The Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach held its traditional Thanksgiving dinner Thursday night.
They said it’s important for people to have a place to celebrate the holiday like everyone else.
“It’s important to be around family and friends and everybody,” said volunteer coordinator Victoria O’Neil. “And not everyone has that in their life sometimes, so at least there’s a sense of community here.”
Matt Talbot Kitchen said around 30 volunteers were on hand serving dinner and dessert to more than 100 people.
Guests said they were thankful to have a home cooked meal.
“When all you got is each other, you got a place to come and eat and sit down and know that people care about you and want to make sure you have a good Thanksgiving, it’s something remarkable,” Don Loury said.
Matt Talbot Kitchen said most of the meal was sponsored by the Harrison family, with pie donations from community members.
