Taylor Landfair, Allie Sczech picked in Major League Volleyball Draft

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two Nebraska volleyball players were picked in the Major League Volleyball Draft on Monday.
Indy Ignite picked Taylor Landfair with the 28th pick in the fourth round.

Landfair has spent two seasons with the Huskers after transferring from Minnesota in 2023.
The 6-foot-5 outside hitter averages 2.11 kills and 0.55 blocks per set. She also boasts a .322% hitting percentage this season.
Landfair — a Plainfield, Illinois, native — had a season-high 12 kills with five digs in a 3-2 win over No. 18 Creighton in September.
Earlier this month, Landfair racked up 11 kills and had a .550% hitting percentage in a win over No. 22 Minnesota.
Landfair was an AVCA All-American and the Big Ten Player of the Year at Minnesota in 2022.
With the very next pick, the Omaha Supernovas drafted Allie Sczech with the 29th pick in the fourth round.

Sczech has been efficient in limited playing time with the Big Red this season.
A transfer from Baylor, the 6-foot-4 opposite hitter has played in 26 sets, averaging 1.65 kills and 0.58 blocks per set. She also has a .394% hitting percentage.
Sczech’s best match so far this season was in August against No. 6 Stanford, racking up 12 kills on a .400% hitting percentage.
The Sugar Land, Texas, native was a two-time All-Big 12 selection at Baylor before coming to Nebraska.
