Teen assaulted, robbed by group near downtown Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A teen was attacked and robbed Saturday evening near downtown Lincoln, police say.

Around 7 p.m., officers were sent to a parking lot near 21st and J streets on a report of an assault.

The victim, a 17-year-old girl, was involved in a “minor” private property crash involving a vehicle at 21st and K streets, police said.

She tried to exchange information with the driver, who then demanded cash, according to police.

The victim left, but the driver started following her.

When she pulled over again, three people got out of the vehicle and attacked her, police said.

The assailants also stole her vehicle’s keys before leaving the area.
