Teen caught with stolen vehicle, gun at Lincoln gas station, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A teen was caught Wednesday with drugs, a gun and a stolen vehicle at a Lincoln gas station, police say.
Around 3:50 a.m., officers spotted a vehicle – which was reported stolen last week – parked at U-Stop near 13th and South streets.
While officers checked the vehicle out, a 15-year-old boy ran out of the gas station, police said.
Officers caught up to the teen in a nearby alley and took him into custody. Police said he was found with marijuana and a suspected ecstasy tablet.
A handgun was also found in the alley, according to police. The teen was taken to the Youth Assessment Center.
He was referred on suspicion of several charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and theft by receiving.
