Teen flown to Lincoln hospital after two-vehicle crash in southeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Four people were injured Saturday evening in a crash east of Syracuse.

The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 2 and County Road 32 around 7:30 p.m.

A pickup truck was heading south when it drove past a stop sign and crashed into a westbound vehicle.

The occupants of the truck – a 16-year-old boy from Syracuse and a 16-year-old boy from Cook – were injured and taken to a local hospital.

Later on, the boy from Cook was flown to a Lincoln hospital.

The sheriff’s office said the occupants of the other vehicle – a man and woman from Oregon – were taken to a Lincoln hospital.

The extent of everyone’s injuries is unknown.

The crash temporarily shut down a part of Highway 2.
