Teen found after going missing while staying with grandparents in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — UPDATE: A teen who went missing while staying with her grandparents has been found.

The Henderson Police Department said the 16-year-old was found Tuesday, less than 24 hours after going missing.


A teen girl who was staying with her grandparents in Nebraska has disappeared.

That’s according to the Henderson Police Department, which said the 16-year-old was last seen in the Lochland area of Hastings on Monday.

It was around 4:15 p.m. at the time.  The girl is originally from Kansas City, so she might not be familiar with her surroundings.

She’s 5-foot-4 and weighs 140 pounds.  The girl may be wearing leopard print or black shorts, light purple slides and a T-shirt.

She might also be carrying a brown bag with a horse on it.  You’re asked to call Hastings Police at 402-461-2393 immediately if you see her.
