Student hit by vehicle near Irving Middle School in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A student was injured in a crash Friday morning near Irving Middle School.
Around 8:50 a.m., police responded to a crash involving a 14-year-old near 22nd and Lake streets.
Police said a teen driving a scooter went through a stop sign and was hit by an eastbound vehicle.
The teen was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to LPD.
Speeding was not a factor, and the driver will not be cited, police said.
The intersection was temporarily blocked off as LPD responded to the scene.
