LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A teenager was sentenced Tuesday for an assault and robbery in north Lincoln.

Kaeydan Gonzales got 10 to 15 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole in less than five years.

The 16-year-old was tried and convicted as an adult.

In March, he set up a meeting with the victim in the parking lot of a business near 33rd Street and Cornhusker Highway.

An arrest affidavit says Gonzales accused the victim, a 22-year-old man, of “snitching” on his brother.

He pointed a gun at the man and forced him to strip naked, according to court documents.

Police said Gonzales kicked the man in the head multiple times, causing him to lose consciousness.

He took off with the victim’s clothes and cellphone.

The next month, investigators found a video of the assault on Gonzales’ phone when they arrested him on drug and weapon charges.
