Teen seriously injured in crash with semi in southeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A teen was seriously injured Thursday morning in a crash with a semitrailer in southeast Nebraska.

The crash happened around 5:50 a.m. on Highway 2 near the County Road G intersection, just west of Unadilla.

The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office said a pickup truck was heading west on Highway 2 in the eastbound lane when it hit a semi head-on.

The driver of the truck, a 17-year-old boy from Tecumseh, was flown to a hospital in Lincoln with serious injuries.

Two people in the semi were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
