Teen tried pouring gas into paper cup, punched Lincoln Casey’s worker, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A teen was arrested Friday after assaulting a Lincoln gas station employee and a nurse, police say.

Around 12:20 p.m., officers were sent to Casey’s near 13th and E streets on a report of an assault.

Officers learned that an employee confronted 18-year-old Nyabuoy Jud after she tried pouring gasoline into a paper cup.

Jud then followed the worker back into the store and threw a cigarette display at her, police said.

Another employee tried to intervene but was punched by Jud, according to police.

Eventually, a third employee used pepper spray on Jud to stop the fight.

When officers arrived, they found Jud in the parking lot and took her to a hospital.

While at the hospital, police said Jud spit on an officer and bit a nurse’s abdomen.

Once medically cleared, she was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including third-degree assault of a health care professional.
