LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department says Gang Unit Investigators caught a group of teens in a vehicle that was used during a previous shooting.

LPD said officers spotted the car near 28th and Hitchcock Streets just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

We’re told two 19-year-old women were inside, along with a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.

Police say that a loaded Glock 9 mm handgun was in the boy’s seat and that the serial numbers had been defaced.

He was taken to the Youth Assessment Center on suspicion of possession of a defaced firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.

Authorities have not said which shooting this car was tied to, other than that it happened in August.
