Teens stole over $10,000 worth of products from Lincoln vape store, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Teens stole over $10,000 worth of products from the Generation V Smoke Shop in Lincoln on Sunday, police say.
Around 5:29 a.m., officers were sent to the smoke shop near Cotner Boulevard and Holdrege Street on a report of a burglary alarm.
Officers arrived and found that the front window had been shattered.
Lincoln Police estimate that $10,587 worth of items had been stolen. They also estimated that the business had $1,800 worth of damage.
Based on information from other vape shop burglaries, officers went to the area near 30th and N Streets.
Officers found a vehicle with three occupants, Kaiden Cleary, 19; Jamaul Williams, 18; and a 16-year-old.
Inside the vehicle, officers found the stolen products from the vape shop, police say.
Officers arrested Cleary and Williams on suspicion of burglary. The 16-year-old was referred to juvenile court, according to police.
