Tekamah teen cleared in murder of half sister

Sierra Wilcox

A Tekamah teen accused of raping and killing his half sister has been cleared of all charges.

15–year–old Christian Wilcox had been charged as an adult for first degree murder, arson and sexual assault in the May, 2010 death of 4 1/2-year-old Sierra Wilcox.  The Burt County Attorney dismissed all charges Thursday afternoon.

Defense attorney Stu Mills says a credible witness came forward last month with information that helped investigators place another person inside the Wilcox home at the time of the murder.  Mills says, “He was very emotional and very relieved.  I can say to you that today is the first time that I looked at this young person he looked at me like a normal 15-year-old boy. It's been extremely difficult for him to spend all this time in custody.”

At this time, no arrests have been made.
