Temperatures climb in to the weekend
We’re going in to the 90°s Thursday afternoon. The day will start out sunny. Expect skies to turn partly cloudy for the afternoon. Highs will be near Wednesday levels – in the lower to middle 90°s.
90’s Adding Up
Today will be the 43rd day this year Lincoln has reached 90°. That is quite higher than the 30-year average year-to-date – 29 days. So much so, this is the highest number of days reaching 90° (YTD) in 10 years. It also ties for 15th most since 1887.
PATTERN CHANGE
It continues to look like a pattern change is coming next week. Instead of daily high temperatures in the 90°s, we are looking for highs to be in the middle 80°s. A refreshing change from the last two months.
Of interest… This will be the first time Lincoln has experienced five consecutive days with highs in the 80°s since June 6-10.
