Temperatures climbing going in to holiday weekend
We are moving in to a relatively “normal” pattern for the rest of the week and going in to next week. Temperatures will be near, if not a few degrees above normal, and it should remain relatively dry.
Skies will be partly cloudy Wednesday night. Low temperatures drop to the lower to middle 60°s.
While high pressure will be moving in to the Midwest over the next several days, keeping surface winds out of the northeast/east, temperatures will not be cooling too much. Mostly sunny skies (high veil of clouds) are expected Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will be near normal (88° in Lincoln) with highs around 88°.
Things start to warm-up this weekend, just in time for the 4th of July. Highs will be around 90° each of the days during the three-day holiday weekend. Skies should remain mainly sunny Saturday and Sunday – a few more clouds developing Monday.
