The 107th legislative session kicks off

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- The session started with a prayer, and followed by the presentation of the flag for the pledge of allegiance.

This will be Senator Patty Pansing Brooks last legislative session.  She represents District 28 in Lincoln.  The bills we can expect to see from her this session have to do with truancy, juvenile justice bills, and workforce development.

“It’s just exciting to be back. This is my last first day of the legislature. It’s my last year. It’s been a blessing to be able to represent the constituents of LD28,” said Senator Patty Pansing Brooks.

Pansing Brooks has served in the Nebraska Legislature since 2014.  She says she’ll be using her last session to represent District 28, but also the benefit all Nebraskans.
