The hot weather continues into next week
On Saturday Lincoln broke the record high temperature set back in the year 1962, previously at 100 degrees we reached 104 degrees! The trend for warm temperatures continues throughout the weekend into next week.
An Excessive Heat Warning is in place until 10:00pm Wednesday for parts of SE Nebraska. It is important to practice heat safety wherever you go in the incoming days.
A Heat Advisory is in place until 10:00pm Wednesday for parts of NE, central and SW Nebraska. Heat indices in this area range from 100 to 110 degrees.
An Excessive Heat watch is in place until 10:00pm Wednesday for parts of north, central, North Platte and surrounding areas.
Overall, above average temperatures in the upper 90s and lower 100s, with mostly sunny skies to end our weekend.
With upper 90s forecast for Sunday, heat indices are expected to reach the triple digits once again.
Our dewpoints will be in the mid to lower 70s again, meaning the humidity will continue for the remainder of the weekend.
