The man who set off Lincoln's first ever Amber Alert, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in court . In return, Earl Hayes Junior will get his police records. He's accused of taking his son from his Lincoln home, to Topeka on July 14th… The boy was returned to Lincoln unharmed later that same day.. Hayes faces six different charges, ranging from 'assault' to 'false imprisonment'. He claims he took extreme measures because his son was being abused in the mother's home..
