BENSON, Neb. (KMTV) — Are you camera-ready? Omaha’s first selfie museum will provide the perfect backdrop for your #NewYearNewMe snaps.

In the age of social media, the selfie has become a bit of an art form. Similar, interactive museums are popping up across the county.

The museum, “The Selfie Spot,” can be found in historic Benson, open for both professionals and those just looking to have fun.

“So in the age of social media, it’s just a really fun opportunity — a great opportunity — to capture some cool shots, to kind of boost your social media presence and really make anyone look like a professional,” Owner Aja Anderson said.

Here’s how it works: book a ticket online, charge your phone or grab a camera, and shoot some photos for about an hour.

Backdrops, interactive sets, and lighting will rotate every few months. The Selfie Spot is also partnering with the Production Room, which will offer a personal photographer option.

The museum is set to open on Saturday, Jan. 2. Click here to purchase your tickets online.
