The summer-like feel has returned
If you ventured outside on Sunday, you likely noticed the muggier feel to the air. High temperatures climbed back into the 90s for many locations across southeast Nebraska as well.
A frontal boundary was positioned across central Nebraska on Sunday afternoon, and there’s a chance to see a few storms develop on the boundary. As of Sunday evening, the latest evidence points towards southeast Nebraska remaining dry for the rest of the evening hours.
For Sunday night, we expect a few clouds at times. Low temperatures on Monday morning should be in the upper-60s in Lincoln.
It is worth mentioning that a few waves of isolated showers are possible on Monday, starting in the morning. That said, any showers won’t span much area and are not likely to produce much rain for any one location. In fact, many stay completely dry on Monday!
Aside from the very small rain chance on Monday, there will be plenty of sunshine. It’ll be a hot and muggy day, with high temperatures in the middle-90s.
The heat continues to build on Tuesday, with several locations perhaps eclipsing the 100° mark. Factor in the humidity, and we could be dealing with heat indices near Heat Advisory territory.
