Therapy dog helps middle schoolers cope, becomes an unofficial mascot on campus

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Middle school can be a difficult time for children.
Once a week there’s a different vibe at Monticello Middle School in Minnesota.
It’s not because of pizza day, but when their furry friend Willow Grace visits students.
For about two hours each week, the therapy dog provides 10-15 minute windows of puppy snuggles and kisses to groups of students.
Since 2020, the golden retriever has been like a mascot at the school.
