Thespian students donate 150 stuffed animals to Lincoln Fire and Rescue

The International Thespian Festival took place at the University of Nebraska this week. A group of students from Pennsylvania performed a play about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and used the stuffed animals as part of their set.
After the festival ended, the students wanted to continue to put the stuffed animal to good use. That’s when they called LFR.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue’s Nancy Crist says “Every time we take a pediatric patient in the ambulance, we give them a teddy bear…We were happy to accept them and put them to good use, so we’ll take them and seal them up and distribute them throughout the city.”
Lincoln Fire and Rescue is always open to stuffed animal donations, and they are thankful to the students for their kind contribution to the community.
