Thief snatched jewelry worth $1,600 from Lincoln’s Gateway Mall, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is looking for a thief who stole jewelry from a kiosk at Gateway Mall earlier this month.
On Dec. 4, a kiosk employee was showing a two-tone Jesus medallion and a gold chain to a man when he snatched them and ran away, according to police.
The jewelry is worth around $1,600, police said.
A witness captured some photos of the thief as he was running away.
Police are also searching for two women who caused a disturbance at a CVS near 15th and South streets on Dec. 12.
The women were suspected of shoplifting, and an employee asked about an item they were holding, according to police.
They started yelling expletives at the employee, police said.
One of the women shoved a box into an employee’s face, hitting her glasses and nose, police said.
The duo left in a light-colored Chevy Malibu with in-transit stickers and dark rims.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
