Thieves Get Away With Vintage Ronald McDonald Statue

A Lincoln woman can't believe theives got away with her very valuable collectors item, a vintage Ronald McDonald statue. The 8-foot-tall statue was stolen from the woman's backyard over the weekend. She says the statue has been a very important figure for her family throughout the years, and she wants it back. Stealing the statue was a feat that would be difficult for even the Hamburgular to achieve, because the massive statue is so heavy.  Marie Siefker believes the theives stole the statue in broad daylight. The Ronald McDonald could be worth a few thousand dollars, but Shiefker says that's only pennies compared to its sentimental value. The statue has weathered many Nebraska winters, and has called Siefker's backyard home for 15 years. Anyone with information about the missing statue is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 475-3600.
