LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three were arrested Tuesday after they were found with stolen air conditioner parts in the bed of their truck, Lincoln Police say.

Around 1:35 a.m., officers were sent to the Prairie Mechanical Corporation near N. 56th Street and Fletcher Avenue on a report of people stealing copper wire from an A/C unit.

The business owner saw the suspects put the A/C parts onto a truck and leave the area before officers arrived.

Officers were able to pull over the truck as it was leaving the area.  They then found the stolen A/C parts in the back of the truck.

Lincoln Police arrested Jeffrey Smith, 41, Jason Romano, 36, and Candice Craig, 34 on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking and possession of burglar tools.
