LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were arrested this week in separate traffic stops in Seward County, the sheriff’s office says.

On Tuesday, a deputy pulled over a Dodge Caravan for traffic violations on Interstate 80, just north of Pleasant Dale.

The deputy became suspicious that the driver, 44-year-old Jan Schoening of Wisconsin, was involved in criminal activity, the sheriff’s office said.

During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found 4 kilograms of cocaine, according to the sheriff’s office.

Schoening was arrested on suspicion of felony drug charges.

On Wednesday, a deputy stopped a Chevy pickup truck for vehicle and traffic violations on I-80 near Beaver Crossing.

A dog alerted deputies to drugs inside the truck.  Deputies found about 10 pounds of meth.

The driver — 58-year-old Kevin Haddix of Omaha — was arrested on suspicion of felony drug charges.

On Thursday, a deputy tried pulling over a Kia Sedona that was reported stolen in Iowa.

The sheriff’s office said the driver — 39-year-old Bradley Worthington of Omaha — refused to stop, and deputies chased after him.

Worthington was taken into custody after he turned onto a dead-end road, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and several pending warrants.
