Three arrested, State Trooper’s car struck in York County pursuit

Three people are in jail after leading state troopers on an overnight pursuit Sunday.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper saw a vehicle with fake license plates driving with its trunk open around midnight.

The trooper stopped the car, but during the stop the vehicle fled south on Highway 81 in the northbound lanes.

NSP says the car reached speeds of around 100 miles per hour.

Several troopers followed the car as it made its way into McCool Junction.

One NSP cruiser was struck on the driver’s side during the chase, and the trooper inside suffered minor injuries.

Authorities finally stopped the vehicle on Highway 81 between McCool Junction and I-80.

The driver of the car was identified as Dylan Pritchard, 26, of Holstein.

The car’s passengers were identified as Kathie Zimmer, 35, of Fullerton, and Steven Kissel, 26, of Ashland.

All three occupants were arrested on a number of charges and lodged in the York County Jail.

Troopers found an undisclosed amount of meth in the car.

The trooper who was injured was treated and released from the hospital.
