Three California men arrested on gun, drug charges in York County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Three California men were arrested Sunday after a traffic stop in York County.
Just after 4 a.m., deputies pulled over a car on Interstate 80 about 9 miles southwest of York.
During the stop, the deputy had probable cause to search the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy found two firearms, a knife, psilocybin mushrooms, hashish, prescription medication, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver of the vehicle, 58-year-old Wesley Adkins of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and during the commission of a felony.
Todd Kirkpatrick, 43, also of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a prescription drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Matthew Nagy, 59, of Lakeport was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were lodged in the York County Jail.
