LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol seized over a pound of meth in a Pandhandle traffic stop this week.

Early Tuesday, the patrol learned that a vehicle was suspected to be trafficking drugs through western Nebraska.

The vehicle was heading for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, according to the patrol.

Around 3:15 a.m., a trooper saw the vehicle going north on Highway 385 near Gurley and pulled it over.

During the traffic stop, the trooper found that the driver – 25-year-old Breohnna Big Crow – had an outstanding warrant.

Troopers searched the vehicle and discovered 1.6 pounds of meth and a “smaller amount” of psilocybin mushrooms, the patrol said.

Big Crow and the passengers – Monique Merrival, 37; and Dawn Bowty, 33 – were arrested on suspicion of meth with intent to deliver.

They were lodged in the Cheyenne County Jail.
