Three charged after missing Nebraska man is found dead in rural Colfax County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were charged Tuesday in the death of a Columbus man who went missing in October.

The Columbus Police Department said Donald Newman, Erika Henke and Robert Weaselhead were arrested on suspicion of removing and concealing human remains.

Henke and Weaselhead were also charged with tampering with physical evidence.

The three were arrested in connection with the death of 30-year-old Nathan Johnson, who was last seen on Oct. 28.

Johnson was found dead in rural Colfax County on Dec. 11, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Columbus Police Department did not provide any other details on the case.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 402-563-4000.
