Three injured in crash southeast of Lincoln

BENNET, Neb. (KLKN) — Three people were injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash southeast of Lincoln.

Shortly after 9 p.m., a sedan and an SUV collided at the intersection of 134th Street and Highway 2/Rokeby Road.

Three people were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

Capt. John Vik said the sedan was going north on 134th, ran a stop sign and collided with an eastbound SUV.

The SUV ended up in a ditch.

Vik said everyone was wearing their seat belts, which prevented more serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
