Three injured, one seriously, in east Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Three people were taken to a hospital Thursday after a crash in east Lincoln.

About 11:45 a.m., an SUV that was going north on 84th Street ran a red light at A Street and hit an eastbound pickup truck, police said.

The driver of the SUV was distracted by a crying passenger in her vehicle, according to the Lincoln Police Department crash report.

A passenger in the SUV suffered serious injuries.

Two others had minor injuries, the crash report says.

The driver of the SUV was ticketed.
