Three injured, seven arrested after shooting in north Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were injured Saturday and seven were arrested in a north Omaha shooting, police say.

About 3:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near 42nd Street and Sorenson Parkway, where they found a 22-year-old woman with gunshot wounds.

She was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center and is now stable, according to the Omaha Police Department.

Police said gang unit officers chased a vehicle fleeing the area at a high speed.

The vehicle came to a stop near 60th Street and Ames Avenue, and OPD said officers found another shooting victim inside.

He is in critical condition, police said.

The third victim, a 17-year-old boy, showed up at a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Six teenagers and one adult were arrested in connection with the shooting.
