Three new battalion chiefs to be announced by Lincoln Fire and Rescue

Lincoln Fire and Rescue is adding a second battalion, and that means three new battalion chiefs.

Those two battalion chiefs will be on duty everyday.

LFR says this will make the community safer and a better environment for responding to calls.

A helmet presentation with Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird will take place at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Fire Station 15, near 66th and Pine Lake Rd.
