Three teens arrested in attempted robbery with BB gun in northeast Lincoln, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three teens were caught Saturday after an attempted robbery in northeast Lincoln, police say.
Just after 11 p.m., the victim was approached by two teens near 63rd Street and McCormick Drive.
According to LPD, one of the teens asked if the victim had any money before lifting his shirt to show a Glock-style handgun in his waistband.
The victim told them no, left the area and called the police.
Shortly after, a Nebraska State Patrol trooper pulled over a vehicle near 84th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
The vehicle’s three occupants matched the description of the suspects, police said. A replica BB gun was also found in the vehicle.
Yousef Sabah, 19; Ayman Malaka, 19; and an 18-year-old boy were then taken into custody.
Sabah and the 18-year-old were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and terroristic threats.
Malaka was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of aiding and abetting an attempted robbery.
