Thunderstorms return tonight and overnight.

 

 

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues until 1 AM for portions of central Nebraska and expanded into the eastern part of the state until 5 AM.
The Tornado Watch in Kansas is in effect until 1 AM.

Severe weather is possible later tonight across a large portion of Nebraska.

The threat for Sunday not as high but still a slight risk in portions of southeast Nebraska,

Surface low pressure in eastern Colorado will more east tonight into central Kansas and as a warm front lifts thunderstorms will begin to fire up with the possibility of a few turning severe containing damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain.  The surface low will continue to track into northeast Kansas on Sunday then into northern Missouri. Thunderstorms will wrap up Sunday night with clearing skies towards morning on Memorial Day.   A near perfect day is ahead of us on Monday with sunshine and warm temperatures but with some gusty northwest winds.  Tuesday will also be free of thunderstorm activity but chances return to the forecast by Wednesday and beyond.
