Todd Duncan selected as new Chief Deputy Sheriff

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner announced today he has selected UNL Asst. Chief Todd Duncan to be the new Chief Deputy Sheriff after the departure of Jeff Bliemeister to be Lincoln’s Police Chief.

Duncan began his Law Enforcement career in 1993, serving for almost 2 years as a Lincoln Police Officer. In 1995 he became a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputy. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1999, and to Captain in 2001.

During his 17 years at the Sheriff’s Office he served in the Patrol, Special Services and Criminal Investigations Divisions. In 2012 he was named Assistant Chief of the UNL Police Department. Duncan will begin his duties with Lancaster County May 12th, 2016
