‘Too many questions’: Tyler Goodrich’s family desperate to learn the truth
BENNET, Neb. (KLKN) – Tyler Goodrich’s family was confused and frustrated Monday as many questions were left unanswered.
“I thought that finding Tyler would make me feel better, and it’s just opened up additional questions and more unknowns,” said Angie Manley, Tyler’s sister.
Goodrich’s body was discovered Saturday near Highway 77 and West Pioneers Boulevard, less than 1,000 yards from his home.

His family said it was surprising to hear how close his body was to his home.
“We’ve waited for this day for 16 months, and then to actually get the call was surreal,” said Felicia Nichelson, another sister. “I thought that finding Tyler would give me more closure, but it hasn’t.”
The wooded area where he was found had been previously searched by volunteers.
While his sisters said they weren’t part of the group combing that area, Manley said she did search directly across the street.
“And that’s difficult to know that if he was there the whole time, I was so close to him and could have walked across the road and had closure quicker,” she said.
Nichelson said the family has been thinking about it nonstop.
“One of the things we’ve been talking about over the last couple of days is how many times we’ve driven by him over the last 16 months, and that’s really hard to think about,” she said.

The sisters said it brings them relief to finally know where Tyler is.
But just like the entire Lincoln community, they are desperate for answers.
“The thing that’s still on my mind today is the details on where Tyler was located and where he was found,” Nichelson said.
She said the family will continue pushing law enforcement to dig deeper and find out exactly what happened.
“Tyler’s phone and Tyler’s wallet still have never been found,” she said. “His shoes are now missing, and there’s too many questions now for me to feel comfortable with where we’re at.”

On Sunday, the family spent hours in the woods where Goodrich was found, hoping to find anything that would help them understand what transpired.
Tyler’s sisters said they will stop at nothing to uncover the truth because it’s what he would have done for them.
“We’re going to keep fighting every day, just like we have for the past 16 months,” Manley said.
