Traffic bottlenecked after heap of water bottles spill onto Lincoln road

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Traffic in southwest Lincoln was disrupted Monday after a plethora of water bottles spilled onto the road.
Just before 5 p.m., the Lincoln Police Department was seen at 14th Street and Old Cheney Road.
Photos from a city traffic camera and the NOW Local News App show water bottles on Old Cheney.
The bottles appear to have fallen off of a flatbed pickup truck and into the westbound lanes, with some of them breaking open or getting run over by oncoming cars.
Police blocked off the lanes and were moving the water bottles onto the median so traffic could start flowing again.
Channel 8 is trying to get in contact with police to find out how the bottles fell off and when those lanes will be reopened.
