Trash bin fire spread to porch of north Lincoln home, LFR says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – LFR crews battled a porch fire Wednesday at a home in north Lincoln.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue was sent to the home near North First and Fairfield streets around 10:50 a.m.
LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said a fire started in a trash bin and spread to the porch.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before it spread into the home.
Lierman said the cause of the fire is under investigation. The amount of damage is also unknown.
No one was injured.
