Police investigating pair of robberies near Woods Park in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating back-to-back robberies near Woods Park on Monday.
The first robbery happened near 35th and Randolph streets around 8:50 p.m.
A 38-year-old man was walking in the area when a gray sedan parked, and three males exited the vehicle.
Police said one of the males pointed a handgun at him and demanded he hand over his backpack.
The thieves then got back into the vehicle and left the area.
Police later recovered the backpack a few blocks away, but the victim lost $161.
The second robbery was reported around 10 minutes later near 32nd and J streets.
Two people were walking in the area when a gray sedan approached them, and two males got out of the car.
A male pointed a handgun at the victims and demanded their possessions, according to police. One of the victims handed over his phone.
Once again, the thieves left in the vehicle. Officers later recovered the phone.
