Trio with ‘extensive’ history of credit card fraud caught in Lancaster County, deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people who are accused of using fraudulent credit cards.

On Thursday, deputies pulled over a vehicle heading east on Interstate 80 for speeding, Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said.

During the traffic stop, deputies learned the occupants were lying about their identities.

Deputies then searched the vehicle and found a large amount of cash, gift cards and bags of “high-value clothing,” Houchin said.

“What they did is they used fraudulent credit cards to obtain both,” Houchin said. “And they go around the United States doing this, and they use the gift cards to purchase other items.”

The items were worth around $21,000.

The purchases were made in Denver, and Houchin said the group had an “extensive” history of credit card fraud.

Deputies arrested the driver, 30-year-old Asia Majid of Dallas, and two passengers, 22-year-old Kiannis Woods and 34-year-old Johniseha Jones.
