Troopers find 90 pounds of pot in kitchen cabinets in the back of a truck

A California man was taken to a Buffalo County jail Friday afternoon, after the Nebraska State Patrol said it seized 90 pounds of pot from the truck he was driving.

Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, a trooper pulled over a 2007 GMC pickup driven by Ying Zhu, 45, of Rowland Heights, California, near Shelton.

During the stop, an NSP K9 reportedly detected a controlled substance inside the vehicle.

Troopers searched the pickup and found 90 pounds of marijuana concealed inside kitchen cabinets and homemade wooden boxes in the bed of the truck.

Zhu was arrested for possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp.
