Troopers responded to over 500 incidents amid blizzard conditions across Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol stayed busy Wednesday as blizzard conditions swept across the state.

In a press release, the patrol said troopers responded to about 500 weather-related incidents.

Troopers helped 448 travelers and responded to 27 crashes.  They also helped other law enforcement agencies with 32 incidents.

Two patrol vehicles were damaged during the blizzard.  The troopers and the other drivers were not injured in those crashes.

The patrol said drivers should reduce their speed as roads continue to open up throughout the day.
